What usually goes wrong
A revision lands. Someone has to work out who it affects, who needs retraining, and whether last year's deck still matches the procedure. Usually that is a spreadsheet, a memory, and a gap discovered during an audit.
Training drifts from the document
The deck was built against Rev C. The line is running Rev E. Nobody spots it until an auditor asks which revision the operator was trained on.
AI tools confidently make things up
A generic tool will happily write “torque to 45 Nm” because it reads well. If that number is not in your procedure, it has no business in your training.
Competency lives in a spreadsheet
Who is qualified on what, when it expires, and what evidence backs it — rebuilt by hand every audit cycle.

The guardrails are the product
Anything else can generate slides. What matters in a regulated plant is what the system refuses to do.
The torque figure in your training comes from your procedure — or the system tells you it is missing.
- AI output is labelled by source: taken from the document, inferred, or needing quality input. You can see which is which at a glance.
- Specifications are never invented. PPE, torque values, tolerances, machine settings, measurement limits and inspection criteria come from the document or are flagged as missing.
- AI-generated content cannot become approved training on its own. Approval is an act by a named person, recorded with a timestamp.
- A new revision is compared against the last one, and the system recommends retraining — it does not decide it.
- Every document, training record and assessment carries the exact revision it relates to, so “trained on what?” always has an answer.
The answer to “who is qualified on this?”
Every employee against every controlled document, with the revision they were trained on and the date it expires. Colour is always paired with a word, so it still reads when an auditor prints it in black and white.
